Paintbrush is a simple paint program for OS X, reminiscent of Microsoft Paint and Apple's own now-defunct MacPaint. Malware is only such a huge crisis on Windows in particular because of Microsoft's historically shoddy engineering. There are a few keyboard shortcuts for capturing what's on the screen: ⌘-Shift-3 will save the contents of your whole screen as an image file on your desktop. ⌘-Shift-4 will turn your mouse pointer into a crosshairs so you can select just a portion of your screen, and then save just that as an image file on your desktop. (Hint: if you hit the spacebar before selecting anything, the pointer will change to a camera, and you can click on any window, or even things like the menu bar or the Dock, to save it as an image of just that window/object/whatever with a transparent background, complete with shadows. By far the coolest kind of screenshot, IMO.:P) Adding the Ctrl key to either of these (i.e. Pressing ⌘-Ctrl-Shift-3) will send the captured image to the clipboard instead of saving it as a file, so you can just paste it into your graphics app of choice.
