By day I’m trying to grow Paddle.com, and during my spare time, I’m either eating or checking out the latest news & products in the tech world. I started Let’s Talk Tech because I wanted to write about my experiences with tech, in the hope that it’d help others in the process. You can read my latest articles here. Pedro Lobo Senior Editor. A System Administrator by day and freelance technology writer by night. I put words together to express my opinionated views on software, hardware or anything that strikes my fancy. Said words can be found in a variety of places, among which my blog. When not spending time with my family and taking photographs, I can be found on App.net & Twitter. Since day one, I’ve wanted Let’s Talk Tech to a be a transparent and trustworthy website, and that will never change. For that reason, I’ve decided to create this disclaimer page to state the following: Certain products that are reviewed on this website have been sent as review samples, and on occasion, brands will allow us to keep these products post-review. Similarly, Let’s Talk Tech reviews may contain affiliate or branded links. These affiliate links allow Let’s Talk Tech to earn commission from your purchases and this helps us to keep growing. Although the intention is to build a great website experience and provide awesome content – earning this commission lets us keep up with the bills too! Snip it tool for mac os x. Window snapping on the Mac will snap windows to any of the following targets: edges of other windows, the menu bar, the top of the Dock (if visible), and the sides of the screen. With several windows open on the Mac display, grab one and drag it against a snap target. The snap area can be set up as a universal snap area that applies to all applications or for a specification application. I created a specific snap area for OmniFocus because the default 50% snap area is too small to display all the information that I need. The snap area prompt can be customized to your liking. The Good: Clean and user-friendly interface, plenty of functionality to play with and does a great job of boosting audio quality. The Bad: $14.99 price tag may seem expensive for some, although it’s definitely worth it. Also would have been nice to have a hotkey to bring up main app window. The Bottom Line: There’s no better way to summarise this app other than, it’s the equaliser that everybody running Mac OS X should have. Despite the admirable design qualities you’ll find on Apple products, audio has never been one of their strong points. From my iPhone 6 and iPad Mini to my Retina MacBook Pro, the sound quality is always a bit “meh”. That’s where comes in; this $14.99 Mac app by Global Delight takes your Mac’s tinny speakers and fine-tunes them for a much improved audio experience. A Beautiful & Intuitive Interface Boom has a clean and user-friendly interface. As with the original version of Boom, this one is also primarily based in your menu bar. There, you can control Boom 2’s dedicated volume control slider, and clicking on a small icon at the bottom of that slider opens up the app’s primary app window where you’ll find all of Boom 2’s clever settings. Boom 2’s main window is mostly made up of a flat icon design to keep things minimalistic, and the entire interface feels intuitive and friendly to use. The equaliser for instance has three symbols beneath it — drums to represent low-end frequencies, a microphone for mids, and cymbals for the highs — and when you click each icon the equaliser automatically highlights the appropriate frequencies on the equaliser graphic, making it easier to adjust the settings. Audio The Way You Like It Choose between a range of preset equaliser settings, or create one especially for your Mac’s speakers. OS X gives you a single volume bar to play with, and even when you pump the speakers at full blast they just aren’t loud enough. Format flash drive for mac.
